We're mainly talking about PS and PMMA light guide panel, the yellowing resistance performance of PMMA LGP is better than PS LGP, Therefore, if the customer requires more than 3 years of no yellowish luminous display shelves, first choice is laser dot acrylic light panel, If there is no such need, then the PS light guide plate can choose.
Some customers will say that PS light guide panel no need to consider, because PS plastic sheet yellowing speed is very fast. First of all, we should know that one of the conditions for accelerating PS LGP yellowing is the temperature. When the temperature reaches about 70 degrees, PS plastic sheet yellowing speed will be very fast, and it may be less than half a year for PS light guide board yellowing. As long as your lamp is properly designed, your frame is thick enough to emit heat, your lamp strip use good aluminum PCB and copper foil are thick enough for fully heat conduction, the temperature of the light emitting side is below 70 degrees, the polystyrene sheet performance is very stable. Polystyrene(PS) light guide panel will be a very cost-effective choice.
Comes to cost aspect, PMMA LGP raw material cost is higher than PS LGP, PMMA light guide panel process have screen printing and laser dotting, these process require the light dot distribution design, screen printing processing speed is fast, but the disadvantage is the problem of ink volatile; laser dotting process, no matter the size of acrylic sheet, can design different dot distribution layout according to the size of the plate.
